Leconfield Bowls Club.
The end of the season is now drawing to a close and one of the last big events was the Wolds League Presentation Day which Leconfield hosted. Around seventy players and helpers were present and each player was playing in a team of three but playing for their own score.
After the four sessions were played, we then went into the hall for the prize presentation and light refreshments. Each player had brought a plate of savory or sweets, there was quite a good selection, with tea or coffee also served.
The season at Leconfield outdoor will finish at the end of September and then the short Mat season will start on Thursday 3rd October at 2pm and through the months till April. Monday nights 6-30pm to 8-30pm and Thursdays 2pm to 4pm. Half way through a cup of tea/coffee plus a bit of cake is available.
We ran the outdoors bowls section on fifteen members and will be running the short mat bowls section on 16 members. So NEW members are needed for these two section to continue in the future.
We have, (thanks to the Leconfield Parish Council gaining a grant for us) been able to renewed ALL the short mat bowls equipment which we have had for over 20 years.
