2. Minutes
Minutes of the meeting held on 4th August 2025 were agreed and signed by the Chair as a true record.
3. Liaison with Humberside Police
- PCSO reported no major incidents. Reminder to be cautious of scams.
- Vandalism at Village Hall: youths damaged Wi-Fi cable. Logged via 101 and escalated to CID. CCTV submitted.
4. S/I Speed Watch / Road Safety
Traffic & Highways Meeting (14/08/25):
Key points discussed with proposed solutions:
- Miles Lane/Cherry Burton – Buffer zones and hedge trimming
- Miles Lane Playpark – Visibility improvements and speed bumps
- Miles Lane/Old Road – Buffer zones
- Main Street – Buffer zones; flashing signs obsolete; zebra crossing unchanged
- Arram Road/Church – Layby survey needed
- Arram Road/Dog Kennels – Buffer zones
- Grange Road/Primary School – School Street proposal
- Grange Road – Speed limit clarification pending
- Residential Areas – ERYC does not support white lines
Speed Watch Update:
- Monitoring Main Street in evenings.
- 150 vehicles from Driffield, 18 over 40mph; 15 from Beverley direction.
- PCSO to assist with village education.
5. Matters Arising
- Action Log reviewed.
6. Ward Councillor Update
- Announcement pending on ward alignment.
- Beverley Police Station relocating to County Hall (Block D).
7. Flood Alert
- Haggs Dyke cleared by residents.
- Black Barn culverts clear; vegetation not harmful. Winter maintenance planned.
8. Football
- Season starting.
- Fixtures received.
- Grounds care company engaged (Sports Turf Services Ltd).
- FF/Pitch Power Grant submission in progress.
9. Village Hall / Recreation Playing Fields
- Roof work starts 23.09.25
- Boiler replaced; Rec Club contributing
- Water control on urinals; 50% Rec Club contribution
- MHCLG/EYYC Case Study completed
- Anti-vandal precautions discussed (defence planting, anti-climb paint, signage)
- UKSPF monitoring successful
- DIFEY update: Park entrance improvements; application to be submitted
- Bowls Club: £190+VAT greens treatment approved
- Community Fund: Easy Fundraising to be established
- Leconfest surplus: £7000 dispersed; remainder to new community fund
- Lec PC/Hub sub-committee and bank account migration
10. Planning & Infrastructure
- No objections to update proforma
- Arram Road crossing closure (30.09.25)
- Golf Course development objections logged
- Quick Line Poles – No update
11. Green Spaces
- Flower boxes project deferred
- Benches: 2 damaged benches to be removed
- Bulb planting: Volunteers needed; BRY half-term; online survey planned

17. Dog Waste Bin – Arram (Minster Way)
- Resident offered to fund bin
