I retired after serving in the Royal Navy for 30 years. I have been a resident in Scorborough for 13 years. As a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists I prepare drivers for their advanced test. Hobbies include most sports (sadly watching only these days) especially rugby and cricket and I am a keen walker.
I have lived in Leconfield for around 47 years and have been a Parish Councillor for just over a year, now Vice Chairman and lead for Community Engagement. I am a retired HR professional within the NHS, having served for 26 years. I am an Exam Invigilator at the Beverley College. As a young mother in the village many years ago, I was involved in the community and am enjoying being able to contribute again following retirement. Interests are walking, reading, gardening and water painting.
I have lived in the parish since 1992, and have been a member of the parish council for several years. Now retired after spending nearly 30 years working in social housing for a national provider. You may often see me out walking around our community with my little dog Hamish. I really like the strong community spirit we have and contribute at every opportunity. Leconfield is, I think, a very nice place to live and want to keep it like that.
I have lived in the village since 2014, my wife Claire however has grown up in the village. You have probably seen me in my high vis coat crossing Main Road with dogs, hay, and water for horses in our paddock towards the moat.
I am a Chartered Surveyor specialising in rural land and property and run my own property agency in Hull. My experience is often called upon in my role as a parish councillor on property and planning related matters.
I have lived in Leconfield for 3 years, having moved from West Yorkshire to be nearer my daughter. I was a GP in Bingley prior to retirement and I am still involved in Out of Hours NHS care. I am also chair of a charity working with the lonely, holistic patient care in GP practices and youth work. I want to bring this expertise to develop community activities locally and also to improve facilities at the Village Hall. I am a keen gardener and horse rider.
I have lived in Leconfield for over 24 years, served on the Parish Council for over 17 years and have been a previous chair.
